WordMix is a word scramble game. Use your fingers or thumbs to move letters from the scrambled area to the solution area. The scrambled area is near the top of the screen. The solution area is near the bottom of the screen. Pick up a letter by touching it and holding your finger on the screen. Move the letter by moving your finger. When you lift up the letter will be dropped. You can move letters around inside the solution area, too. This is useful for trying out different ideas. After a little practice you’ll be flinging letters around with quick swipes.When you pick up a letter you don’t have to put your finger right on the center of it. Try placing your finger somewhat below the letter. This will make it easier to see the character while you’re moving it. If you drop a letter on top of another one in the solution area WordMix will swap the letters.
When you’ve filled up the solution area with letters WordMix checks your word against the answer. If they match a star will appear, otherwise a red X will flash on the screen and all of the letters will fly back to their places in the scrambled word. After you unscramble the word you can get a new puzzle by pressing the next button (shaped like an arrow on the bottom bar). The next button is only enabled after the puzzle is completed. If you get stuck you can press the hint button (“?” on the bottom bar) and one of the answer letters will be highlighted. It’s OK to press the hint button twice, but on the third time the whole answer appears along with a red X. Three hints and you’re out.
